Day 1:Nyakalengija to Nyabitaba Camp
Your driver guide will pick you up from hotel residence in Kasese after breakfast for a transit to Mihunga head office, where you will gather for briefing from the park warden as well as meeting with your porters & Guides.
After here, embark on your journey through the thick forest trail, following the Mubuku River, which then crosses a tributary of Mahoma River, which involves a steep climb on a gigantic ridge to Nyabitaba hut. Enroute, you might encounter or hear black & White Colobus monkeys, Blue monkeys and the most beautiful Rwenzori Turaco
Sleep to Nyabitaba Camp:
Step 2: Trek from Nyabitaba to John Matte Camp
After breakfast, embark on following the trail that descends down through the Kurt Shafer Bridge is located immediately below the Mubuku and Bujuku river confluence.
You will then make your way through the bamboo grove, and follow a long stretch of the moss-covered rock that is treacherous.
Upon leaving the Nyamuleju rock shelter, one can enjoy views of Mount Stanley and Mount Speke before reaching the groundsel, lobelia, and giant heather zone. After trekking through the exhaustive bog, you will then reach John Matte Hut. After dinner, you can spend the night at the hut.

Day 3: John Matte Camp To Nyabitaba Hut
Have breakfast, the proceed by descending from John Matte, following the same path along the Rwenzori Central circuit trail, for approximately 5 to 6 hours back to the Park Gate, where you will find your driver guide, awaiting to take you back to Kasese for your dinner and overnight at your hotel.
